He’s ruthless, unstoppable, and the reason the DC hierarchy is about to change. This is Black Adam and we do not say it, it is how Dwayne Johnson introduced the Warner Bros. superhero in the publication of the first trailer back in October 2021. Now we take a look at it again, this time with a trailer that gets us fully involved in the action of Mighty Adam.
“We needed a hero… and Black Adam appeared,” reads the tweet posted by Warner Bros. “I was a slave until I died. Then I was reborn as a God. My son sacrificed his life to save me. Not now.” I bow down to no one.” This is the new superhero on the big screen, someone without too many scruples who must decide if he is the savior of the world or the destroyer.
In the preview, fans can enjoy Atom Smasher and Hawkman, two of the protagonist’s cronies. Little more than two minutes of action that, in addition to offering a better look at the new stage of DC, give us the detail we needed: Black Adam opens on October 21 .
A few months ago we got the first look, but the only thing they brought to light was the superhero covered in a black hood. Few details and a lot of mystery that helped raise expectations. Now we have been able to see a little more of the tape that is going to disrupt the entire cinematographic universe of the studio. Johnson assured in a meeting with fans during the DC FanDome that he was born to play Black Adam and seeing the preview we will not contradict him.
It is directed by the Spanish Jaume Collet-Serra , the same as Jungle Cruise . In Black Adam , he introduces us to Teth Adam, an Egyptian slave who received incredible powers. He can kill a man just by touching him and he also has the ability to parry the bullets of his enemies. Black Adam is Shazam’s enemy, the wizard from whom he received powers, a name that will ring a bell because he is the same character as the one played by Zachary Levi in Shazam! and Shazam! Fury of the Gods .
We don’t know if they will face each other on screen, but those who are confirmed are Aldis Hodge , who plays Carter Hall/Hawkman; Noah Centineo as Albert Rothstein/Atom Smasher; and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone. Pierce Brosnan is also around , who gets into the skin of Doctor Fate.
