On Sunday (31/7), Haechan Held A Live Broadcast On Instagram Where He Shared About The Preparation Times For The ‘THE DREAM SHOW 2: In A DREAM’ Concert With Fans And The Reason The Concert Was Canceled.
NCT Dream was supposed to hold the concert “THE DREAM SHOW 2: In A DREAM” for three days on July 29-31, but the concert was canceled after Mark Lee and Renjun tested positive for COVID-19. In a recent broadcast, Haechan revealed why the members decided to cancel.
On Sunday (31/7), Haechan held a live broadcast on Instagram where the 2000-born singer was seen wearing a black jacket and glasses. Here, he shares about the preparation times for the concert “THE DREAM SHOW 2: In A DREAM” with fans.
“To be honest, this time, we prepared for the Seventh Dream concert and Mark hyung was confirmed positive. When we heard it, the members seemed to collapse. As you know, this is the first concert of the sevens and if it’s like concert 127 where I can be on stage too, it’s still okay,” Haechan said.
The idol reminisced about how he had a leg injury but still participated in concerts and sang along where they didn’t have to dance. But the situation was different with Mark where the rapper couldn’t attend the concert at all.
“It’s nobody’s fault, everyone. But we talked about whether it’s right for the seven of us to do it or should we continue so that the sick members don’t feel guilty, and we thought that continuing was the right thing, so the six of us practiced until dawn. . We came at 9 am,” he continued.
He said the training session was very tiring. “Even at 2pm after we ate and played games and then practiced afterwards, we would whine to our choreographer and say, ‘ Hyung , we’re tired… Let’s go home…’ and then we’d take a rehearsal break at 9 or so.” 10 and all of our members said we had to do it right so we came in the morning and practiced, trying our best to show what we have even as 6 members.”
Haechan continued, “But then Renjun got sick so we were scared. We were afraid to go on that big stage with just the five of us. We also talked a lot at that time. I told Mark hyung and Renjun, ‘Please don’t feel guilty…’ it’s nobody’s fault and it’s something we control. I told them, let’s think about what’s best for our team.”
Haechan revealed that they only wanted to put on a concert of a quality worthy of showing at the Gocheok Dome. Of course, whatever form they put in, we can’t do it half-heartedly.
“But this is a concert that means a lot to us and we’ve been putting everything we have into it for almost a month, so we thought, ‘Is this the right thing to do?’ Even we were feeling restless and depressed and not confident doing this concert, so we didn’t think it was right to continue (with just 5 of us).
Finally, Haechan apologized and asked fans to meet again with NCT Dream in the future. “So we’re really sorry. We feel really sorry for you guys, but we have no choice but to do it next time,” he said.
