On June 9, two worlds will come together to put the finishing touch to what Steven Spielberg began in 1993 with Jurassic Park . Jurassic World: Dominion hits theaters, and the Colin Trevorrow -directed film will answer the question of who stands at the top of the apex predators: humans or dinosaurs. The film, again with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing , respectively; will also feature the long-awaited returns of veterans Laura Dern , Sam Neill , and Jeff Goldblum .. They were the protagonists of Jurassic Park . Now, one of these actors has revealed his character’s reaction to the opening of the dinosaur park in Jurassic World .
The first installment of the new trilogy, also with Trevorrow behind the scenes, narrated what was happening on Isla Nublar years after the events of the original trilogy. The dinosaur amusement park got to open just like John Hammond ( Richard Attenborough ) dreamed of. However, everything turns into chaos when one of these beings escapes.
Neill, who played Alan Grant , has told how his character would have taken what happened in the film. “I think Alan Grant would have totally disapproved,” the actor begins on Gizmodo . “And you know, all the predictions he made came true .”
On the other hand, Neill believes that Grant would not have gotten along too well with Owen Grady, the raptor trainer played by Pratt. However, the actor affirms that, in the end, they would have managed to put their differences aside and come together because of something they have in common: their compassion for dinosaurs .
” I think his attitude towards Pratt’s character [in Dominion ] is ambivalent at best because Pratt has worked in that place and has also trained dinosaurs, which Alan Grant would think isn’t a great idea. ” But, given their empathy with dinosaurs, they have quite a bit in common,” Neill concludes.
Neill and Dern return as Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler in Jurassic World: Dominion after their last appearance in the franchise in Jurassic Park III . Who already returned to the new trilogy was Goldblum, who had a brief appearance as Ian Malcolm in Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom , the sequel directed by Juan Antonio Bayona . On this occasion, the trio of actors will face a world in which humans coexist with dinosaurs.
Jurassic World: Dominion also sees the return of Isabella Sermon in the role of Maisie Lockwood . DeWanda Wise and Mamoudou Athie are two of the film’s new signings. Above these lines, do not miss the trailer.
