Meanwhile NewJeans released the music video for their pre-debut single “Attention” on July 22 as a surprise release, with no promotions or prior information about the group’s lineup. The video, which garnered more than 1.3 million views in less than 24 hours, was followed by the announcement of the four-track “NewJeans” extended play (EP) from NewJeans. On July 23, the group’s second single “Hype Boy” was released along with a 50-second clip revealing the names of the members, followed by four other music videos for the song, specifically for the members’ perspectives.
