After so much speculation, Shakira has finally announced through her agency her separation from Gerard Piqué , with a message for all her fans asking for privacy for her family, without giving great details about what happened with her ex-partner.
“ We regret to confirm that we are separating. For the well-being of our children, who are our top priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding ”, she announces.
The couple, whose relationship began in 2010 after winning the World Cup with Spain, have two children together, Milan and Sasha. The problem begins after the Barcelon defender was allegedly caught cheating on the singer.
The couple have reportedly been living apart for a few weeks after Pique was kicked out of his family’s home. According to Spanish outlet “ El Periódico ”, he has been living in his bachelor apartment and has been enjoying a “ party lifestyle ” since the split.
For her part, Shakira hinted at the couple’s situation in her latest hit ‘Te Felicito’ in collaboration with Rauw Alejandro. The singer interpreted the following lyrics:
