The identity of the male K-Pop idol who allegedly threatened his ex-girlfriend with a sharp weapon has finally been revealed. Media New Daily reported on Friday (20/8) that the idol in question is a former ” Produce 101 Season 2 ” participant and member of the boy group Noir , Nam Yoonsung .
According to media reports, Nam Yoonsung broke into his ex-girlfriend A’s house in October 2021 because A refused to meet him. He allegedly threatened A with a gun found at his home and forced her to continue dating him.
Nam Yoonsung is said to have put down the weapon at A’s request. However, Nam Yoonsung reportedly strangled his ex-girlfriend when he refused her request to the end.
The neighbor heard A’s shout and rang the doorbell. Nam Yoonsung was said to have threatened A and forced him not to tell the truth.
On Friday (20/8), a senior judge at the Seoul Central District Court sentenced Nam Yoonsung who was indicted on charges of causing injury, making special threats, and damaging a house. Nam Yoonsung was sentenced to one year in prison and two years suspended in prison. He was also sentenced to one year of probation and 80 hours of community service.
“The sentence was decided after taking into account the fact that the defendant confessed to his crime, that he did not appear to have intentionally committed the crime, and that this was the first time since he had no criminal history,” the court said.
For information, Nam Yoonsung had participated as a participant in “Produce 101” season 2 as a trainee from Ione Entertainment. But he suddenly left the survival program for health reasons.
In 2018, he debuted as the lead vocalist and lead rapper in the boy group Noir. He is also active as an actor. Nam Yoonsung’s agency has not yet opened up about this case.
